Vehicle Wrap Warranty
Warranty Terms & Conditions
This warranty is provided between BURDETT HOLDINGS PTY LTD T/A MBCUSTOMS and the purchaser of the wrap product and installation services.
This warranty applies only to vehicles where the wrap film and installation have been supplied and completed by MBCUSTOMS.
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and for the original vehicle the wrap was installed on. The warranty is not transferable if the vehicle is sold or ownership changes.
1. Warranty for Wrap Film
1.1 Film Warranty Period
The warranty period for the applied wrap film is:
-
Up to 3 years for vertical surfaces
-
Up to 1 year for horizontal surfaces
This period is calculated from the original invoice date and is based on the product's expected performance within the Asia Pacific region.
Please note: Vertical and horizontal surfaces may overlap in some areas of the vehicle. Certain horizontal sections may finish with vertical top edges, and coverage may vary depending on the design and install.
1.2 Installation Warranty
The installation workmanship warranty is limited to 3 months from the installation date. This warranty does not cover failure or damage caused by:
-
hand washing
-
high-pressure washing
-
misuse
-
neglect
-
third-party interference
-
accidents
-
environmental exposure after handover
Once the vehicle has been handed over, the wrap becomes the responsibility of the vehicle owner. If the vinyl is going to lift or fail due to installation, this would generally occur within that 2-4-week period.
1.3 Warranted Durability
This warranty does not cover film that has been modified or damaged due to:
-
improper storage
-
misuse
-
accidents
-
neglect
-
damage caused by any third party
Normal weathering over time is considered expected wear. At the end of the applicable warranty period, some visible change in the film may still be considered commercially acceptable.
1.4 Limitations of Liability
MBCUSTOMS reserves the right to reject any warranty claim where:
-
the cause of failure cannot be reasonably identified
-
damage has occurred due to incorrect application by another party
-
the film was not supplied by MBCUSTOMS
-
the claim cannot be verified
We also reserve the right to inspect the vehicle, investigate the issue, and carry out any necessary testing before determining the outcome of a warranty claim.
MBCUSTOMS is not liable for any economic loss, indirect loss, or property damage beyond the obligations specifically outlined in this warranty.
2. Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover:
-
reasonable fading, wear and tear over time
-
scratches, loss of gloss, or fading caused by aggressive cleaning
-
damage caused by animal scratching, weather exposure, tree sap, bird droppings, hard water spotting, or sand and road debris where the wrap has not been properly maintained
-
damage to the vehicle's original paint or substrate, including rust, poor paint adhesion, repainted surfaces, failing clear coat, or paint/clear coat lifting when film is removed
-
damage caused during removal of existing vinyl, decals, or paint protection products
-
transfer of the warranty to a new vehicle owner
-
failure to follow advised cleaning and maintenance procedures
-
visible paint-to-panel differences that become noticeable once the wrap is removed
3. Warranty Claims
All warranty claims must be submitted by email and must include:
-
proof of purchase
-
photos of the issue
-
a clear description of the problem
Claims should be sent to: info@mbcustoms.com.au
Claims will not be assessed without supporting documentation.
4. Workmanship
All installations are completed by trained and experienced installers. MBCUSTOMS guarantees that reasonable care and workmanship standards will be applied during installation.
If a fault is found to be the result of poor workmanship within the applicable workmanship warranty period, MBCUSTOMS will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected area.
5. Care and Maintenance
To help maintain the appearance and life of your vehicle wrap:
-
hand wash only where possible
-
avoid high-pressure washing, especially around edges and seams
-
clean bird droppings, tree sap, fuel spills, and contaminants promptly
-
do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or cutting compounds
-
avoid prolonged exposure to extreme conditions where possible
Failure to properly maintain the wrap may void this warranty.
